Colourful abstract illustration of multiple flowing paths converging toward a central light over a faint map of Australia. The paths include rainbow colours and symbols representing disability (wheelchair icon), neurodiversity (infinity symbol), and cultural connection, symbolising respect and acknowledgement of diverse communities

Acknowledgement of Country

Plan Pathfinders acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise the enduring connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country, culture, and community.

We are committed to listening, learning, and working respectfully alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to ensuring their voices, knowledge, and leadership are recognised and valued in the work we do.

Sovereignty was never ceded. Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land.

Acknowledgement of People with Disability

Plan Pathfinders acknowledges the knowledge, leadership, and lived experience of people with disability. Your voices shape the work we do and the way we support our community.

We recognise the barriers, discrimination, and injustices that many people with disability have faced and continue to face. We are committed to challenging those barriers and working alongside people with disability to create systems that are fair, respectful, and inclusive.

We value the partnership of people with disability, their families, carers, and communities, and recognise that meaningful change happens when people with disability lead and inform the work that affects their lives.

Acknowledgement of People with Lived Experience of Mental Ill Health or Trauma

Plan Pathfinders recognises the strength, insight, and knowledge of people with lived experience of mental ill health, trauma, and psychosocial disability.

We understand that lived experience brings valuable perspective to the way services, systems, and supports are designed and delivered. We are committed to trauma-informed, person-led practice that respects dignity, safety, and choice, and to learning from the experiences of those who have navigated these systems themselves.

Acknowledgement of Older People

Plan Pathfinders recognises the knowledge, experience, and resilience of older people in our communities.

We value the contributions older people make to families, culture, and community life. We are committed to supporting autonomy, dignity, and voice, and to challenging ageism and other barriers that affect wellbeing, participation, and inclusion.

Neurodiversity Affirmation

Plan Pathfinders recognises neurodivergence as a natural and valuable part of human diversity.

We respect the strengths, perspectives, and ways of thinking that neurodivergent people bring to our communities. We are committed to creating environments and supports that are respectful, accessible, and responsive, and to working alongside neurodivergent people in ways that honour their autonomy and preferences.

Acknowledgement of Identity and Expression

Plan Pathfinders recognises and respects the diversity of gender identities and expressions within our community.

We are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and respectful environments where every person is treated with dignity. We honour the identities of the people we support and work alongside, and we strive to ensure our practices reflect genuine inclusion, respect, and affirmation.
